Short Course Description

The course is divided into two parts. The first is dedicated to literature reviews for scientific articles and dissertations. Students are first given an introduction on the aims and relevance of literature reviews and then provided with the guidelines on how to write an effective literature review.

The second part of the course is devoted to review articles. After a general introduction on the types of review articles, the course focuses on those adopting a systematic approach, i.e., systematic reviews, scoping reviews and meta-analysis. In this part of the course, students are given a step-by-step guide on how to conduct systematic reviews and an overview on meta-analysis.
